Define scope of work PTA can assist with the defining of the “Scope of work”. The importance of this critical stage of any project cannot be emphasized enough, get this wrong and you are in for a real challenge.

Select appropriate supplier(’s) to perform task(’s) With good planning it is often possible to not get locked into your local support infrastructure. Its not that this in itself is a bad thing, but how do you know if its the most cost effective unless you investigate your options? At least in the planning stages let PTA determine if there isn’t a few better options for you out there.

Communications The key to a successful project is good, clear and concise communication. It must also be ongoing for the life of the project. Often in General Aviation this area of customer relations is given scant attention. The owner often suffers in dollar terms as a result. PTA will ensure open and honest communications are maintained for the life of the project.

Supplier Management Via open and honest communications PTA ensures the supplier performs as they contracted to do. In most cases your project will not be the suppliers only business and whilst it would be nice to think it should be their only concern reality tells us it cannot be, they after all also have a business to run.

Understanding some of these external forces and where necessary making allowances for them greatly enhances the likelihood of your project staying on track both time wise and cost. Having said this it would also be true to say that firm but fair Project Management skills need to be applied so that previously agreed to targets are met or bettered where possible.
