PTA awarded a three year contract – Safety Mgr. for Ultra Shine Aviation

A chance meeting at Jandakot Airport just before Christmas 2012 resulted in PTA assisting Ultra Shine Aviation transition towards gaining its CASR 145 Approval Certificate.

Part of this process involved Alan Jupp being contracted to become their CASA approved Safety Manager.

Additionally Alan has been helping write various manuals, designing and revising others and all the associated forms.

Importantly we are using SMS-Pro Lite as the companies Safety Management System data base.

Alan’s CASA Instrument of Appointment to issue CoA’s revised – Now at Issue 14

Well it took some time but my IoA has now been revised to remove the 38 seat limitation.

Full details, including any limitations can be reviewed by downloading the new instrument.

Most aeroplanes and helicopters covered including aeroplanes with 38 seats or more and Light Sport Aircraft (Aeroplanes & Weight Shift).

PTA & Air Safety Navigators join forces

What a great way to round out an interesting week. Today the directors of both PlaneTorque Australia Pty Ltd & Air Safety Navigators Pty Ltd (Both Perth based) agreed to work together in a mutually beneficial association. The two companies remain seperate business entities but will combine their considerable experiance and expertise where appropriate for the benefit of our various clients.

I thought it might be interesting to let you know how this part of the business was traveling since I started doing CoA’s in mid 2005.

It would seem that compared to the whole of CASA myself and obviously others have been very busy.

b) Light Sport Aircraft – Weight Shift – 3

c) Helicopter – Normal – 30

d) Aeroplane – Normal – 22

e) Aeroplane – Restricted – 4

f) Aeroplane – Transport – 3

g) Helicopter – Transport – 1

h) Aeroplane – Commutor – 7

i) Export CoA’s issued to date: 2

As at this date several more CoA’s booked, including over 38 seat type over the coming months, plus several WIP

That’s a total of 107 completed to date.
